Saleem Khatri

Saleem S. Khatri is CEO of Lavu, the restaurant system of record behind Marty, an AI operator layer that prevents profit leaks in real time. Lavu is a global restaurant SaaS and payments platform serving thousands of restaurants worldwide with an all-in-one suite that includes mobile point of sale, online ordering, payment processing, and back-of-house software.
Before joining Lavu, Mr. Khatri was Founder of Instavest, Inc., a software-based investment manager backed by Y Combinator. Prior to that, he served as an executive officer in the Office of Financial Stability at the United States Department of the Treasury, where he held leadership and investment responsibility for the $79 billion Automotive Industry Financing Program, including Ally Financial, Citigroup, General Motors, and a range of regional banks.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Khatri co-founded and sold His Black Box, a men’s subscription sampling service and customer analytics platform for premium consumer brands, and worked in principal investment roles at Goldman Sachs and Oaktree Capital Management. While at the Treasury, he served as a Board Observer for CommunityOne Bank and Community First Bank & Trust on behalf of the U.S. taxpayer. He began his career in investment banking at Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Khatri currently serves on the Board of Directors of Compliancy Group.
Mr. Khatri earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BBA with Distinction from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
