Chief Investment Officer at Kedvale Holdings

Shakeeb Alam is the Chief Investment Officer of Kedvale Holdings, a single-family office that is an opportunistic, long-term focused investor across both private companies and listed public equities. 

Shakeeb is also a Senior Advisor at East Bridge Capital Management, the investment partnership he co-founded in 2011 and led as President through the end of 2025. Under his leadership, East Bridge scaled into a multi-billion-dollar investment partnership focused on long-term compounding.

Prior to founding East Bridge, Shakeeb began his hedge fund career at Highfields Capital in 2003, where he led large-scale investments in consumer and services companies as a Partner for five years. He also traded through the global financial crisis as a Portfolio Manager at SAC. Earlier in his career he worked in private equity at GTCR and investment banking at Bear Stearns.

Shakeeb serves in a volunteer capacity as Chairman of the Investment Committee at the University of Illinois Foundation (UIF), which oversees a $3 billion endowment. Under his stewardship, UIF has implemented a comprehensive transformation of its investment program. 

Shakeeb earned his BS in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
