Samura Atallah
Founder and CEO, Longroc
Samura “Sam” Atallah, PhD, is the founder and CEO of Longroc, an investment advisory firm with pending SEC registration. Sam founded Longroc after seeing that a named portfolio manager is usually reserved for the very wealthy. She aims to change that while abiding by Islamic investing principles. She was previously a vice president at Cisco, a Fortune 100 company, and holds a PhD from Harvard University and a BA with honors from Brown University.
At McKinsey, Sam evaluated companies and advised Fortune 500 executives on M&A and investments. Before Cisco, she was a product and business strategy lead at Google and a founding member of Seated, where she drove the zero-to-one launch of its mobile app. Seated was later acquired.
Sam is an Aspen Institute Weave Speaker, an AI advisor to Scalvy and a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She serves on the board of advisors of AI 2030, a global organization advancing responsible AI, and advises startups on product and growth.
Sam designed and led leadership training programs at Google and McKinsey in the U.S. and internationally, and created and taught the course Optimization and Human Capital at Harvard. She is passionate about leadership and personal growth.
